CUPRA has renewed its collaboration with FC Barcelona goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen, a member of the CUPRA Tribe from the beginning. This partnership extension comes at a crucial point for the brand. 2024 is an important year for CUPRA, as the brand is launching 4 new electrified models.

The German footballer will continue to be a CUPRA global ambassador for the next three years, representing the brand’s values and boosting its awareness globally. The renowned player first became a member of the CUPRA Tribe in 2020, a few months after FC Barcelona announced it was CUPRA’s Official Automotive and Mobility Partner.

We both share a deep connection and passion for our unique city: Barcelona”, said Marc ter Stegen. “Embarking on this new chapter together in 2024 will be special, as CUPRA is launching their most electrified product offensive yet. We will keep inspiring the world from Barcelona together”.

Marc ter Stegen embodies CUPRA’s challenger spirit, and his charismatic personality and natural talent have earned him the position of second captain at FC Barcelona. His experience on the field has made him an essential leader at the team and, with his disruptive mind-set, he perfectly represents CUPRA’s values and the brand’s ambition to push boundaries and always go out to win. 

His connection with the city of Barcelona goes beyond the club, as he has been a regular attendee to cultural, social and sport events, becoming a representation of the international and diverse spirit of the capital.

A cornerstone of the CUPRA Tribe

With a remarkable football career and unique playing style, Marc ter Stegen is one of FC Barcelona’s best performing goalkeepers in the club’s history. The professional player, who is celebrating his 10th season at the club, has won no less than 16 titles with FC Barcelona, including a UEFA Champions League (2015) as well as five Spanish Leagues and five Copa del Rey. Ter Stegen has also made 40 appearances for the German national team, winning the 2017 Confederations Cup.
