CASA SEAT is celebrating International Women’s Day with a series of activities highlighting female leadership and talent in this month’s scheduled events.

Singer Marina Carmona is opening the month with a concert on March 2 in which she’ll present her first singles as a prelude to her debut album to be released in 2024. With an artistic heritage that connects her to great names in Spanish music such as her father Antonio Carmona and her grandfather Juan Habichuela, Marina has created her own style, fusing tradition and modernity. She has collaborated with artists such as C. Tangana, Lin Cortés, Pepe Bernabé and Nuria Fergó.

On the 7th, CASA SEAT will be hosting the meeting “Transforming Marketing from a Female Perspective”, organised by the Barcelona Marketing Club. The round table will focus on how leading brands are reshaping their narratives and connecting with audiences from a female point of view.

On the 9th, violinist Andrea García and pianist Mateusz Duda are giving a recital in the CASA SEAT auditorium as part of the Barcelona Obertura Spring Festival, an initiative of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Palau de la Música Catalana and L’Auditori. As part of the “Ciutat de Clàssica” cycle, the artists will perform Amy Beach’s Violin Sonata, Op. 34 and Mozart’s Violin Sonata No. 35 in A major, KV 526.

Another female presence at CASA SEAT this March is illustrator and comic book author Míriam Bonastre, who’ll be on hand to present the latest volume of her books Hooky. Míriam made a name for herself with the weekly publication of her webcomic Hooky for four years on the digital comic platform Webtoon, which she would later publish in print. The first volume of Hooky was a great success in Spain and in the United States, where it made the New York Times bestseller list. During the meeting, Míriam will elaborate on the creation process of her latest book and follow with a post-event book signing.

On the 13th, singer Paula Cendejas is giving a concert to present her new EP, Tsunami, which will be released in April and whose first single “Paenamorar” came out last year. The artist rose to fame by uploading covers on YouTube and made her professional debut in 2019 with the single “Tu cama”, produced by singer Alizzz. Paula released her debut album FOMO in 2023, a work that fuses pop and R&B with Latin urban beats.

A new exhibition arrives to commemorate 40 years of the SEAT Ibiza

On 25 March, CASA SEAT is opening a new exhibition to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the SEAT Ibiza, one of the brand’s most iconic models. More than six million units of the model have been sold since its launch in 1984, and it was the first car developed by SEAT as an independent company.

Remaining on display until 6 April, the exhibition will feature a model from each of the five generations of the Ibiza from the SEAT Historic Car Collection. Visitors will get a first-hand look at the evolution of the vehicle over the years and the transformations that have been introduced up to the current model, represented by the SEAT Ibiza FR Aniversario.

A meeting place for entrepreneurs

On 5 March, CASA SEAT will once again bring together young entrepreneurs from Barcelona to share their experiences and advice on how to start a business before the age of 30. The meeting “Creativity in viral times” will feature Albert Vilar, creative director of VICIO, Bruno Casanovas, co-founder and co-CEO of Nude Project, and Jordi Rosàs, CEO and founder of &Rosàs, who will talk about how they interpret and apply creativity to their brands in order to define and maintain their own voice that sets them apart from the rest.

On the 14th, Agosto Studio is promoting the first CASA SEAT lifestyle market featuring brands headed by women. The market, which aims to be a meeting point for fashion lovers, will include the participation of brands such as At first sight, Susmies, Kream, MIM, Lulas Lulas and Agosto Studio. Those attending will have the opportunity to purchase unique pieces of clothing and accessories, enjoy the cuisine of the CASA SEAT restaurant and end the day at an afterwork event with a DJ set.
