Powertrain and chassis: zero emissions, the perfect ride for the city

As the world changes and more people shift to living in urban areas, the need to provide different approaches to personal mobility grows.

Electrification is the key to delivering what the future demands, but it isn’t always practical to use passenger cars as a mode of transport, which is why the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 fits perfectly into the future vehicle mix.

Powering the motorcycle sits an advanced electric engine that produces 7kW of power (9kW of peak power) – equivalent to a traditional 125cc combustion engine – and 240Nm of torque (at the wheel). Integrated into the rear wheel, the power plant offers the performance needed when traversing city streets, with a top speed of 95km/h, but more importantly allowing the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 to reach 50km/h from a standing start in only 3.9 seconds. Ideal for slow speed, stop-start nature of urban traffic.

The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 motorcycle has dynamics and enjoyment at its core as much as the need to offer practicality and efficiency. Twisting the throttle back instantly shows the vehicle’s personality.

The performance is achieved in part through the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125’s low weight of just 155kg, which also helps the all-electric motorcycle to be incredibly dynamic and easily manoeuvrable when roads are congested, helping riders reach their destination as quickly, stress free and enjoyably as possible. The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 also includes a reverse gear, to make manoeuvring simpler, especially when parking in or out the eScooter.

Every vehicle that carries the SEAT badge needs to have dynamics at its heart and the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 is no different.

The all-electric motorcycle uses 120/70-15 front and 140/70-14 rear wheels with 260mm and 240mm brake discs respectively and front and rear hydraulic shock absorbers to provide the optimum ride; as well as integrating a Combined Braking System to make sure riders are in complete control. The motorcycle includes three driving modes: Eco, City and Sport, so the rider can select the best match to their needs delivering a ride worthy of the Barcelona brand’s name.

In Eco mode the scooter has a reduced speed and acceleration. It allows you to economize and circulate in a more relaxed way.

The City mode allows the driver to have a controlled speed, giving the vehicle a good level of performance and a more balanced consumption.

And finally, in Sport mode, acceleration and speed increase, offering greater strength and speed in specific cases and more regenerative braking.

The SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 brings functionality to another level thanks to its swappable and easily transportable battery pack.

The energy dense 5.6kWh lithium-ion pack weighs just over 40kg but provides a range of up to 137km on a single charge based on the official test cycle. When typical usage levels are considered, private users should only need to plug in once a week and even when the battery has been depleted, recharging is simple.

The battery can be charged when still in the vehicle, but it can also be removed from the SEAT MÓ eScooter 125 motorcycle and plugged into a domestic power socket. The battery can be fully recharged in as little as 6-8 hours from a domestic supply.
